Hi Siva,
In case of Co-Product:
1. Co-Product and By-products produce along with the main product. For Co-Products we create an apportionment structure and maintain the % of total cost to be distributed between the main and co-product. Also, this apportionment structure we will assign in Costing-1 tab of main product.
2. In BOM, we need to mentioned the co-product quantity in -ve sign. For ex: If you are producing 100 qty of output of which co-product is 5 qty. This 5 qty should be maintained in -ve sign in BOM.
Configuration part for Co-Product:
- Create an Apportionment structure OKEU (Assume 70% to main and 30% to Co-product)
- Assign the structure in Costing -1 tab of Main Material
- Also, switch of Co-product button in both Main and co-product
With the above example your total cost is assume USD10,000. Main product will share USD7000 and co-product will share remaining USD3000. i.e. for 5 qty.
In case of By product (Fixed price):
- Switch of tick mark co-product either in MRP-2 or Costing-1 tab of Main product
- In By product material master switch on co-product in MRP-2 and give price control S and maintain the standard price in Accounting-1 tab.
- In BOM, maintain the -ve qty for by-product (assume 2 qty)
- When you run CK11N, system will consider by-product quantity from BOM and price from Material master (USD1000). In the above example total by-product cost is USD2000. Assume your total cost is USD10,000 and the by-product cost will be deduct from the total cost.
